Jenn represents clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract actions, professional malpractice lawsuits, and disputes involving corporate shareholders and LLC members, and provides counsel on business issues, such as insurance coverage and security interests under Article 9 of the Illinois Uniform Commercial Code.

Jenn has experience litigating cases in both trial and appellate courts. While at the firm, Jenn third-chaired a trial in the Circuit Court of Cook County that involved direct and derivative claims brought by a shareholder of a closely-held corporation against the corporation’s directors for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, statutory removal of the directors, and review of the corporation’s books and records. Jenn also co-chaired a trial in the Circuit Court of DuPage County that regarded the validity of a life insurance trust and distribution of the trust’s proceeds. Both trials resulted in judgments in our clients’ favor. Jenn has successfully argued appeals before the Illinois Court of Appeals, including an appeal that affirmed an award of attorneys’ fees in favor of our clients.

Before joining the firm, Jenn served as a judicial law clerk in federal and state courts. Following law school, Jenn completed a two-year federal clerkship for the Honorable Lyle E. Strom in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. Jenn subsequently served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael B. Hyman in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
